Vanessa"s Portfolio

Vanessa Tan Xuan Ming, born on 4th July 1996.

 

A girl whose love for art started after watching her mom draw, she started her journey through the wondrous yet mysterious world of art. Surrounded by games and cartoons in her childhood, her interest in art continued to evolve and grow. She decided that she wanted to pursue art as a career, so in 2011, she took the art elective provided by her school, where she started to pick up the basic foundations of art.

In 2014, she enrolled in Singapore Polytechnic in the Diploma in Digital Animation (DDA) course. In DDA, Vanessa was exposed to a whole new world and began to rediscover things about her childhood cartoons she's never noticed before, learning new skills and looking at the world from a different perspective.

With encouragement from her new-found friends in the course, she finally decided to act on her passion for fashion designing. So she started designing costumes whenever she could as a hobby.
